Easy Dimensional card with foam stars

Hello lovelies,

This card has been on my mind for a while so I was super excited when i got the chance to try it out. I normally use foam on the panels of my cards or behind certain pieces to give a dimensional look. Today foam is the star of the show for a change.

These foam stars were a gift to me from a friend and were perfect to execute my idea of layering different colours of foam.

If you would like to make this card,

Here is what you will need:

  • Foam stars of various sizes and colours. Remember you can use any other shape you would like.
  • Simon Says Stamp’s “Gifts of love” stamp set
  • Versafine Onyx black ink
  • Simon Says Stamp “Its no secret” stamp set
  • White Cardstock

Here are the instructions:

  1. Create a top folding card base with white cardstock
  2. Choose foam star colour combo (I chose rainbow) and layer as many as you would like, offsetting a bit on each star so the one below shows
  3. Stamp stars in black ink in a pattern as shown making sure you leave adequate space between stamped stars for foam stars to be adhered
  4. Arrange layered foam stars on the front of your card as shown and glue down
  5. Stamp your greeting
  6. Your card is complete!

I would love to see your take on this versatile card. Make a change to the colour scheme or greeting to see what you come up with. Email me at creativeibby@gmail.com with your pictures.
