We are celebrating the STAMPtember release which includes a wide array of crafty products to spark your creativity.

Also for joining the party you can take advantage of this free gift and much more as you visit all the blogs.

The card I will be sharing today was made using the Simon Says Scroll Flourish Cling Stamp 6×8 and the CZdesign Wafer Dies Just Because. I used this technique shown in this video by Jennifer McGuire on stamping in laminating sheets but added embossing powder as well. I cut a card base 4.25x 11 inches and folded it in half then cut a 1/4 inch wide 4.25×5.5 inch frame from white cardstock.

After adding powder to the surface using a powder tool, I stamped the Scroll Flourish stamp on the inside of a letter size laminating sheet using Versamark ink. I added Ranger white embossing powder, shook off the excess, closed the laminating sheet and ran it through my laminator. This sealed in and partially melted the embossing powder.

I colored the backside of this acetate panel with alcohol markers like these and cut a 2.25 x 3.5 inch rectangle and a 4.25 x5.5 inch frame of 0.45 inch width. I adhered the white cardstock frame to the front of the colored acetate panel using glue and then adhered this double frame to the card front using foam tape.

I then added thin strips of foam tape (preferably clear foam tape) to all 4 sides of the rectangular acetate piece. I placed a few white sequins on the card front behind this “window” and adhered the rectangle on top to form a shaker element.

I cut the just because sentiment from gold cardstock and the shadow from vellum and adhered both together and then to the front of the card. I added clear nuvo drops in the recessed space and allowed them to dry .

I then used a needle and thread and sewed through the foam tape behind the largest frame. I started at the center of one side then pushed the needle through to the center of the adjacent side and did this for all four sides before repeating 3 times at different angles. To seal the thread I tied a small knot and cut it.

This completed my card! Thank you so much for stopping by. Please continue to celebrate with us by checking out all the other blogs for some exciting gifts and beautiful projects.

Love

Creative Ibby

  1. I normally don’t care much for gold accents on cards, but this one has that WOW factor and now I’m ready to “go for the gold”! Great job on a great card – Kudos!!

  2. Absolutely WONDERFUL coloring and your color choices were fantastic! To me, that takes true artistry to combine colors as you did. Honestly, it looked so good in terms of your color choices that I thought at first that it had to be a piece of DP, but the coloring looked better of course, and so did the embossing with white embossing powder. SO artistically beautiful!!! I am so impressed! Combining the coloring with the clear acetate was FANTASTIC! I look forward to seeing more of your work, you are VERY talented!
