Hello friends,
Todays card took me way back to my roots. Box cards have been a favorite of mine for a long time. If you scroll on my Instagram you will find that they were the main type of card i made for a while. They look to me like a bouquet of awesomeness.

I also enjoy using ephemera, stickers and all the fun things on my cards so when I had the opportunity to work with this collection, I could not refuse. One thing I love about this collection is the color scheme. The black, gold and gingham print that are incorporated make such a beautiful addition to the line. The supplies I used will be linked below within the text.

Let’s get into the card I made. Here are the instructions

- Cut a 5.5 x 10.5 piece of dark green cardstock and scored at 1.75 inches on the long end and four times at 2.5 inches on the short end. This will give you four 5 rectangular areas, four which are 2.5 inches and 1 which is 1/2 inch.

- Cut down to the horizontal score line on the shorter side of each vertical score line and cut of the shorter side on the small 1/2 inch rectangle. Fold the card in half and adhere the two ends together by sticking the tab to the inside of the adjacent rectangle. Cut the short edges of the card into triangles.
- Cut three 3.5x 1 inch strips of green cardstock and score at 1/2 inch from each edge. Fold these edges and glue the folded edges to the inside of the box to form the panels on which the ephemera will be glued.

- Cut more 3.5 x 1 strips to add to the back of ephemera if you would like to give them more height in the box.
- Choose your favorite flowers and ephemera from the Santa Lane Floral Die Cut Shapes and glue to the panels inside the box. You can also stick flowers on top of one another with foam tape to give dimension.

- I cut two diamonds from an overfoiled piece of acetate I had and surprisingly the cellophane tape I used to tape the Essential Diamond Dies down lifted the foil and gave the gorgeous look that i stuck to the bottom edge of the card. You can simply use tape on top of regular foil to emulate the look.
- Squeeze the box flat and loosely wrap it with gold thread. Use a small foam square to secure both ends of the thread. I used a sticker from the Santa Lane Sticker Pack as a sentiment and mounted it with foam squares.
That completes the card.

I hope you love it and give it a try.
Love, Ibby
