So lets get into the card.

This card was made using the Sunny Skies emboss and cut folder, Simon Says Stamp Foam tape, (which is super thick and easy to cut) thread and the hearts are from Simon Card Corners die set. The sentiment is also from a STAMPtember release which is the Extra Talkative Clear Stamp Set.

This embossing folder was so easy to use and gave me a clean cut everytime. I love the impression it gives as well.

First I scored an entire card front with horizontal lines at 0.25 inch apart. I then embossed a piece of white cardstock and cut it down to the frames of the embossed portion. I then ink blended with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Fawn ink over the lower edges. Apply foam tape to the back of the piece on all 4 sides but only remove the backing tape on the lower edge where you will be placing the thread.

Wrap the thread around 4 fingers a couple times to form a bundle then stick one end of the bundle onto the foam tape. When sticking make the edge as flat as possible. Do this for all chosen colors . Remove backing from all sides and place a yellow cardstock circle inside and seal with a piece of light blue cardstock. Add another layer of foam tape to all 4 sides and attach to card front. Cut the edge of the thread to the desired length.

Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment and add hearts cut with the Card corners die. Mount on the card base with a silver glitter cardstock border and that completes the card!

You can see the entire MAGNIFICENT release here at this link.

Have fun checking out all the other creators and I will see you soon!

Love , Ibby

  5. This is the most innovative card I’ve seen in a LONG time. Whoever would have that that using fiber/thread would add such a fun element to a card. I love the colors, the sentiment you used and your wonderful creativity. I’m inspired to make one just like it. Thanks for sharing.
