Hi friends,
So lovely of you to stop by!
Today I am sharing these cards made using the Stitched Diamond Argyle Etched Dies from Spellbinders Stitchmas Christmas Collection. There are so many fun ways to use this die and I will show you a few here in this blog post. Check out my recent blog post here to see this die used with no stitching for a fun textured background.

For the first card I created a christmas tree design on the front panel after cutting the die from white cardstock. A fun way to use these stitching dies is to find the hidden shapes outside of the apparent design and highlight these shapes.
I stitched the tree in green floss and the star above it in silver floss. I used gold letters, stars from Christmas Puffy Stickers from the Tinsel Time Collection and a sentiment strip from the Santa Lane sticker pack from Santa Lane Collection to finish off the card.
CARD #2

Layering patterns can be so fun especially when you use different mediums to do so. In this card I layered one pattern on top of the other by cutting the Stitched Diamond Argyle Etched Dies from Spellbinders Stitchmas Christmas Collection from plaid patterned paper.
I then sewed a simple design in white on the front panel. I used gold cardstock with white cardstock and vellum for the sentiment strip and used black foam glitter letters from the Santa Lane Collection to finish off the card.

I hope you have been inspired by these 2 projects. See you next time. Don’t forget to follow me on instagram and subscribe to my YouTube channel for more crafty videos.
Love, Ibby

Your cards are great! I love how you created the tree pattern on the first card. The double texture of patterned paper and stitching on your second card is really fun 🙂
