Today I am sharing 2 cards using the ever so cute merci die from Simon says Stamp.
The first is a simple thread card with an interesting twist.
Here is what you will need:
- CZ design Merci die from Simon Says Stamp
- sentiment strip
- 3 colors of thread
- cardstock (white and coordinating colors)
- pink nuvo drops
You can use one color of thread or multiple colors. For multiple colors like I have done here we start with one color and bulid with the others thereafter. So we start with red. Place the needle through the first (horizontal) hole to the far left of the card then place it through the first vertical hole to the far right of the card. Skip two holes for the other colors and again thread through the 4th horizontal hole and then the 4th vertical hole until you reach the top right of the card. So we are moving from left to right on the horizontal and bottom to top on the vertical. Follow this same technique with the other colors.
Cut your dies nested into each other from a coordinating cardstock color and add a sentiment strip and a nuvo drop heart.
For the second card I cut the dies s(again both nested into each other) from different colors of cardstock and arranged in a diagonal pattern and then added a coordinating sentiment strip in black.
Your cards are complete!
