Hello friends!
Happy New Year! This year will be a slow crafting year for me. I will pop in to share when I can and today I am sharing a fun technique using alcohol to stamp on alcohol markers to create fun backgrounds and effects on cards. DISCLAIMER: Based on my reading alcohol may dry out/ damage your stamps if left on them so please clean your stamp immediately and thoroughly with stamp cleaner after and do not do this technique often.

Here is what you will need:
- Cotton lightly soaked with ethyl alcohol (not dripping) I used 95% alcohol but 70% also works
- Stamp of your choice (rubber or acrylic)
- Alcohol markers
- White cardstock (I used Bristol)
Here are the supply links:
- Spellbinders black glitter foam letters
- Simon Says Stamp Geo Aria Background Stamp
- Pink Fresh Studio Oh What Fun Collection word thickers
- Simon Says Stamp Heart Masks Stencil
- Simon Says Stamp Big and Bold Stamp Set

Here are the steps:
- Use alcohol markers to create a background on white cardstock. You can make lines, dots, circles, squares or whatever you like.
- Use cotton to wipe stamp and immediately stamp on marker background.
- Note the longer you hold the stamp in place the lighter the stamped area becomes so hold in place for at least 5 seconds if you want to see the stamped image clearly
- Assemble your card and enjoy!
For this cute heart card I used the same technique but used marker with a stencil and used a white gel pen to outline the stamped word.
