Stitched Pattern Paper Cards

Hi friends,

Here’s an easy way to add some interest to your pattern paper when making cards. Adding a little thread can be just enough to turn a plain printed background into something special.

Here’s what you will need for these cards. Available links are below.

I used a paper piercer to create holes to mimic the pattern of the patterned paper. Placing the patterned paper on cardboard or foam makes it much easier to punch the holes. I then stitched areas with their coordinating colors based on the design. Use cello-tape to secure the thread at the back each time you start and stop stitching. I cut the Merci die from coordinating colors based cardstock without separating the dies and used a strip of foam tape at the back to secure.

The second card was done in a similar way. I stamped the sentiment in Blush pink ink on white cardstock and fussy cut it. I then adhered it to the card with foam tape.

That’s it!

I hope you stay inspired to make even in unfavorable conditions. The world needs your creations.

Love, Ibby
