Using leftovers – Gold and white shaker card

Hi friends,

Sharing this card today that was made using leftovers from previous card projects. I have a huge folder with diecuts, sentiments and paper scraps that were not quite right for the projects I was doing at the time. I’m sure we all have this in some form.

I finally decided to use some of these pieces on a card. I created the acetate myself. I printed the plaid design at my local printers in toner ink on acetate. My home printer is an ink printer so it would not work with this technique. I then ran it through my laminator with toner reactive foil on top and got this result. This piece of foiled acetate was for a card kit I was putting together. The butterflies and sentiment were also cut for previous projects and the frame was hand cut with a blade.

I added foam tape to three sides of the acetate panel ensuring no gaps were between the tape. I then added the beads through the open side and sealed it with foam tape after. I glued the white frame to the acetate and glued the vellum sentiment and pieces after.
