Spellbinders – Birthday Celebration Collection- Stitched fringe cake – Stitched Fanfare

Hello lovelies,

It is so good to have you visiting my blog today. The card I will be sharing is perfect for congratulations, birthdays, and many other special occasions. I used the newest release from Spellbinders Paper Arts, the Birthday Celebration Collection. I used the Stitched Fanfare die as a background without stitching and it added so much interest to the finished card.

I cute the Stitched Fanfare Die from pale pink and white cardstock and glued both together to make a more sturdy card front. This is a great choice to give your card a more structured look and feel and to give added strength for stitching.

For the cake, using the Stitched Fringe Cake dies, I cut the fringe from 4 pieces of vellum stacked on top of each other when running through the die cutting machine. I then stitched them all together using gold metallic thread (6 times). I left a small piece of thread at either end. I cut the other cake bases from white pearl cardstock using the other dies included in the set and backed these pieces with the pale pink cardstock. The candle dies are cut from gold and pink while the cake base is cut from gold.

I used this Winnie and Walter stamp to heat emboss “happy birthday” on shiny gold cardstock and mounted on the card with foam tape.

The tone on tone look in this card makes it such an elegant choice. I hope you were inspired to create.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Love, Ibby
