Hello lovelies,
I love to see florals on cards. When I first saw these flowers in 2017, I knew I would be fussy cutting them for a project someday. Approximately 3 years later I have finally gotten around to it. The subtle pink and peach tones are so feminine and beautiful and remind me of a beautiful spring morning. The florals I used are from the DCWV Copper Luxury Stack which you may purchase on amazon.
Here is what you will need:
- Floral sheet and pink watercolour cardstock
- Foam tape
- Heidi Swapp acetate words
- Circuit Explore (optional)
- White holographic sequins (bought at Ligunea Drug and Garden in Jamaica)
- Tracing Wheel for sewing (bought at Fontana Pharmacy Mandeville)
- kraft cardstock
Here are the instructions:
- Create card base from 12×12 piece of pink watercolour cardstock
- Cut a 2.25 x 5.5 inch panel of white cardstock
- Use tracing wheel to make 2 dotted lines along each long side of the white panel
- Place foam tape on he back of the panel and adhere to pink card base
- Fussy cut flowers from Pattern paper (I used 27 flowers). For me the keys to fussy cutting are having a sharp pair of scissors which can be held comfortably and going at a slow pace. This is how i manage to get the best cuts.
- Arrange flowers at top and bottom end of card allowing them to overlap each other. Do not glue flowers down completely. Leave some areas unglued to create dimension
- Use Cricut explore to write greeting on kraft cardstock on rectangles that are 0.4 x 1.5 or 2 inches or (stamp or write your greeting)
- Glue Heidi Swapp acetate greeting to the centre of the card by placing small dots of glue behind the letters so the glue won’t show through to the other side
- place the yardstick greetings on foam tape and adhere to card as displayed.
- Place white sequins in strategic positions to accentuate card and add that finishing touch.
- Your card is complete!
