Embossing with Foil Stamping Plates

Hello friends,

I am so behind on updating my blog with the cards I have made and so this post is the first step in trying to do so. I want to share my results with you after my embossing session using the Sketched leafy wreath hot foil plate and die from Simon Says Stamp Yay You release.

For the first card, to create the background, I ran the foil plate and pink cardstock through my die cutting machine sandwiched between one plastic and one acrylic plate. I did this 3 times to cover the entire background. I then used abandoned coral distress oxide ink and VERY LIGHTLY blended over the impressions to give them more depth.

I then ran a piece of white cardstock through with the foil plate using both acrylic plates and a shim. I then lightly colored the edges of the wreath with the abandoned coral distress oxide ink and cut it out using the coordinating die.

I cut 4 card corners from white cardstock using the card corners dies from Simon says stamp. I absolutely adore these dies.

I assembled the card by mounting the white wreath on the background using foam tape and stamping a sentiment from the Just a Note Pansy stamp set and heat embossing with silver embossing powder.

For the second card, I inked up the foil plate with versamark ink and ran it through my diecutting machine on white cardstock with one plastic and one acrylic plate sandwich. I heat embossed with silver tinsel embossing powder from ranger. I then cut out the wreath with the coordinating die and ink blended lightly with abandoned coral.

I also cut a shadow from silver metallic cardstock using the coordinating die and cut the sentiment from the same metallic cardstock using this die from CZ design.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Lots of love,

Ibby
